We’ve made it easier for assessors to provide accurate skill evaluations! Previously, assessors had to rely on level names alone when grading a skill. With this update, you can now view the specific requirements for every skill level directly within the assessment interface.
How to view assessment criteria
When you are performing a skill assessment, you will notice a new option in the Assess Skill drawer:
Open the Assess Skill drawer for any team member.
Look for the link titled "DETAILED ASSESSMENT CRITERIA →".
Click the link to open a dedicated panel.
Review the specific text and requirements for each available skill level.
Use the back navigation to return to the drawer and finalize your assessment.
Note: What if a level doesn't have specific criteria? If no unique criteria have been set for a specific level, the drawer will automatically show the Default skill level description. If no description exists at all, it will simply display a dash (-).
Setting up Assessment Criteria
Administrators can define these requirements within the Skill Management section. Adding clear, actionable descriptions here ensures your assessors have the guidance they need.
Trainers can define unique assessment criteria for each skill level, giving assessors and operators clearer, more relevant guidance during evaluations.
- Trainers can create and edit specific assessment criteria for each skill level directly within the skill settings.
- Assessors can view detailed, level-specific criteria in the assessment drawer when evaluating a worker.
- Operators can see the skill requirements for their role and, during self-assessment in SmartSkill, view the criteria that apply to their specific level.
