What is a learning journey?
A learning journey is the structured path someone follows to build knowledge or skills over time.
It can be:
A planned sequence of learning activities (courses, practice tasks, assessments).
Guided progression from beginner to expert on a topic or skill.
Clear milestones so learners know what to do next and can track their progress.
A journey with deadlines makes it easier to start and complete more skills on time, boosting adoption and usage of Smart Skills. This empowers frontline workers to own their growth and helps your team build a stronger, more capable workforce.
Set-up
Admins need to navigate to the Smart Skills Matrix page.
Click the hyperlink of the user.
- Click 'Set Learning Journey'.
- Use controls to set the order of skills from first to last.
- Add due dates for the user to know when to complete the skill
Extras
New Skills will always be added to the bottom of the list until edited in the learning journey page.
As an Admin, the User Skills Matrix can be sorted by Skill Name & Ascending or Descending only when a Learning Journey is Set. Otherwise, you can sort by Skill Name, Completion Order or Due Date.
Users can see and sort when skills are due.
