The Scrap Category Pareto Report will break down the total number of scrap and scrap categories by Area, Line, Product, and Shift.
To get started click on the 'Reports' tab > Production Scrap Category Pareto and fill out the form.
Your results will return in a bar chart.
In this example, you can see I have 42 total scrap for my given timeframe and it's broken down by Category. From here, I can drill down to Area, Line, Machine, Shift, Product, and Rework/ Scrap by clicking on the buttons at the top or by clicking directly on the blue bar. For this example, I'm going to click on the 'Line' button at the top.
My results show that I had 42 total scrap between two Lines. If I then click into one of the blue bars, I'll receive a new bar graph with the scrap broken down by category for whatever line I chose, in this instance 'Room01'. This chart can be used to identify lines, areas, or scrap categories that need improvement.
