📕 Setup - Technologies

Overview

Technologies are used to tag machines based on technology or type of equipment (e.g., Crimp, Weld). This can be used to pull reports and compare data based on defined technology groups.

Prerequisites & Preparation

  • Required Permissions: System Manager or Administrator

Step-by-Step Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Menu: Go to Setup > Technologies.

  2. Initiate Creation: Click Add New in the upper right corner of the Technologies bar.

  3. Enter Details:

    • Technology Code: Enter a code. Codes are locked once saved — they can be inactivated, but not deleted.

    • Technology Description: Enter a description. Choose one that is common within the workplace and understood throughout.

  4. Define Attributes:

    • Status: Select if the technology should be marked Inactive.

  5. Save & Finalize: Click Save.
