📕 Setup - Custom Properties

Overview

Custom Properties allow you to add extra fields to Machine Setup and Product Setup — useful for information like Asset Numbers, Warranty Dates, or additional UPCs on Products.

Prerequisites & Preparation

Custom Properties can be found in the System Setup Menu for anyone with System Manager permissions. 

Step-by-Step Configuration

  1. Go to the Setup on the left-hand menu.
  2. Under System Setup, select Customer Properties.
  3. Select the Add New button at the upper right corner.
  4. Enter a Name.
  5. Select a Type from the dropdown--Machine or Product.
  6. Select a Data Type from the dropdown--Text, Date, Boolean, or Numeric.
  7. Activate or Inactivate using the Active checkbox.
  8. Select Save.

Under System Setup, select Customer Properties.

On the Customer Properties page, select Add New at the top right.

 

On the Customer Property Detail: Add page, enter a Name, select a Type from the dropdown, select a Data Type from the dropdown, and make active or inactive using the Active checkbox.

FAQs

  • Customer Properties are also available via API, the Product Import or the Machine Import.
  • You must have Custom Properties set up prior to setting them for machines or products via import or API.
  • Custom Properties can be filtered by active/inactive status using the Filter button at the top right of the Attributes page.
  • Custom Properties can be exported using the Export button at the top right of the Attributes page.
