📕Setup - Values Streams

Overview

Value Streams are used to connect product value streams with machines. Value-stream mapping is a lean-management method for analyzing the current state and designing a future state for the series of events that take a product or service from its beginning through to the customer with reduced lean waste. Data can be tracked and reports pulled by Value Stream.

Prerequisites & Preparation

  • Required Permissions: System Manager or Administrator

Step-by-Step Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Menu: Go to Setup > Value Streams.

  2. Initiate Creation: Click Add New in the upper right corner of the Value Streams bar.

  3. Enter Details:

    • Code: Enter a code name (e.g., product type, process flow). Codes are locked once saved — they can be inactivated, but not deleted.

    • Description: Enter a description (e.g., "seatbelts"). Choose a description that is common within the workplace and understood throughout.

  4. Define Attributes:

    • Color: Choose a color for display on the main dispatch screen. Type in the RGB hex value directly, or click the empty field to open a color palette.

    • Status: Make sure Active is selected.

  5. Save & Finalize: Click Save.
