Curious how you can see an overall view of the status of a skill or view users who are associated with a skill and the skill requirements. Well, let's show you the different views we offer to show this information!
Skills Widget
To get a glimpse at overall skills, there is an icon at the top far right of the page that will open a widget view.
You can see Skills Starting/Ending:
This widget will show skills with an effective start date in the next 14 days. (If users assigned to a skill have documented training on new revision the font color will be blue where the numbers are shown. If a user assigned to a skill does not have documented training on new revision the font color would be red).
Click on the corresponding tiles and you will be directed to the Skills Revision History page filtered by starting within the next 14 days and ending within the next 14 days.
Incomplete User Training:
This widget shows the count of users that have insufficient skill level vs required by the Role(s) and/or Line(s) the user is assigned to. If the count is greater than 0 the number background will be in red.
Clicking on the corresponding tiles will open the User Skills Matrix filtered to the appropriate Role vs Line in a new tab.
T
Aging Active Skills:
This widget will show the top 5 oldest skills that are active to the current date. The number represents the number of days since the last revision date.
Skills Retraining:
This widget shows a count of skills due for retraining broken into four columns showing specific due date categories by Overdue, due within 7 days, due within 7-14 days, and due within 14-30 days.
Click into the tile on the corresponding titles and you will be directed to the User Skill Retain Report screen filtered by the information of the row you choose.
User Skill Requirement Matrix
In this section, you can view the line level, the name of persons associated with the line, the User Role associated with the person and the skill, the skill itself, and the skill level of the persons associated with the line or a role-based skill. Also to note here is if they have any training needed to be completed.
- User Skill Matrix can also be accessed from the operator portal line-level view. (See below)
Note: To go back to the operator portal from the User Skill screen if that is the way you accessed the matrix, you must click on the link icon and then the operator portal will appear to select. (see below)
Remember you can use filters to find what you're looking for in the user skill requirement matrix.
Note: If a user has been Inactivated, their User Skills associated with their User Role will show as Not Applicable on the User Skills Requirement Matrix. This is because all of the associated Skills are now Inactive. The system doesn't know which Skills the User should now be associated with upon being Reactivated. To fix this, you'll need to go to the User Skills screen, filter to Inactive or All, and search for that user. You can then Activate the required Skills for that Users' Role.
Please also note that the order of the columns is first come first serve, or in other words the order the skills are entered impacts the order on the matrix.
