Edit, adjust and annotate your job aid visuals
For media upload In SwipeGuide we recommend:
- Ratio of 4:3 with resolution 976:732 pixels
- Pictures should have up to 5MB
- Videos should have maximum 20 MB
We emphasize the importance of keeping videos as short as possible to support end-users in following the instructions “step-by-step” at their own time pace, having to perform only one action at a time.

Upload multiple pictures
With this functionality, it is now possible to upload multiple images at once either by copying & pasting or by selecting from your computer compared to the previous feature wherein you could upload only one picture at a time.
Note: Uploaded Images will Auto-scale automatically so you won't have to do it manually.
1. Go to your Guide page
2. Click on Edit Image
3. Upload multiple images either by copying and pasting or by selecting media from your computer
Copy and Paste Method
1. Open the designated folder or file where you stored all the pictures required to upload and select multiple images at the same time
2. Right-click and select copy and then paste them to the upload box
Note: The new uploaded pictures will appear under my media
Select Media by browsing from your computer
1. Click on the "Upload new" box.
2. Open the designated folder where you stored all the pictures required to upload and select multiple images at the same time
3. Click "Open"
Note: The new uploaded pictures will appear under my media
Preview a video
1. Go to the step where you uploaded the video
2. Click on the "Viewer Type" to see the options
3. Select "Step (scaled)"
4. Click the play button in the preview of your step
Note: You can also click on the extend button to see the video in full screen if needed
Enable Audio in a video
1. Upload a video in the media editor
2. Tick "Enable audio" in the right side of the screen
Note: Make sure audio is disabled for videos that have a lot of background noise.
Reuse the same media in multiple places within your Guide (Duplicate image)
Images can be duplicated so that you can add different shapes to the same image rather than uploading the same picture all over again.
1. Select the image that you want to duplicate from My Media or Guide's Media
2. Click on "Duplicate image"
A duplicate image with the same name will appear.
💡Tip: you can rename the media to differentiate them.
Rename Media and Assign them to the right steps
1. Click on the image that you want to assign to the particular Topic/Instruction/Step
2. Click on the pencil icon to rename the image
3. Click on the media icon & upload the right image
Changes will be saved automatically but will only be visible to end-user once the Guide is published.
Use Media from different Guides with the local storage: My Media
What is the difference between "My Media" and "Guide's Media"?
- My Media shows images and videos that you have uploaded from your local drive and only you can see these images.
- The Guide's Media shows images and videos that have been assigned to a Topic/Instruction/Step and all Guide's editors can see those images.
All images and videos uploaded under My Media are saved in your local storage & will remain there until they are assigned in the step, instruction or topic of your Guide.
You can use all pictures uploaded under "My media" in all the Guides you have access to (unless local storage is cleared).
Use images from different Guides with My Media local storage
1. Open any of your Guides & upload images
2. Go to any other Guide, and open a Step from your Instructions
3. Select a picture from under My Media
4. Click "SAVE" to upload it under the desired step
The image will be moved from My Media to this new Guide's Media.
Delete items from My Media
1. Click on the media you need to delete
2. Click "Remove image" to delete
The media will disappear from My Media.
Note: If you "Remove image" from Guide's Media, it will completely remove the media from the Guide after clicking on SAVE.
