A workspace password allows users to access published content without needing individual login credentials. Anyone with the correct workspace password can view published content on the workspace.
To prevent your workspace from brute-force attacks, a security feature locks your workspace after multiple incorrect login attempts.
Error: Too Many Failed Sign In Attempts
Incorrect Password Entered 10 Times: After 10 failed attempts, you'll receive the following warning message:
💡 Tip: After this message, you can still log in with the correct password. Ensure you've typed the password correctly and if you've forgotten the password, contact your platform admin before attempting to log in again.
Incorrect Password Entered 30x: After 30 failed attempts, your workspace will be locked, and you'll receive the error message below. At this point, you will need the help of a Platform Admin to reset the failed sign-in attempts.
Security Best Practices
Platform admins have the ability to reset the failed login count for a locked workspace. Before resetting your Failed Sign In Attempts, follow these security measures:
- Verify the identity of the person attempting to log in. Ensure it was an authorized internal user and not a potential external attacker.
- Secure your passwords. Store them safely to prevent unauthorized access.
- Reset only the failed login attempts for the affected workspace
