Overview
Leading2Lean (L2L) is a cloud-based platform designed for high availability, redundancy, and scalability. To achieve this, our services use dynamic infrastructure that frequently changes IP addresses to maintain optimal performance and reliability. This distributed architecture means that static IP configurations are not recommended or supported.
Firewall Configuration
The recommended approach to configuring your firewall is to allow outbound HTTPS (TCP port 443) traffic to the specific L2L domains required for your organization’s use. Because L2L’s infrastructure relies on dynamic IP addresses, firewall configurations should rely on domain names rather than IP addresses or address ranges.
Please ensure that the following domains are accessible through your firewall:
Required Domains:
- support.leading2lean.com – Access to support documentation and knowledge base
- www.leading2lean.com – Corporate website
- www.l2l.com – Marketing and general information
- [your-company].leading2lean.com – Your organization’s L2L DISPATCH instance (replace [your-company] with your specific subdomain)
- userpilot.io – In-app help and user guidance
- browser.sentry-cdn.com – Performance monitoring and diagnostics
- dispatch-files.leading2lean.com – File storage and document access
- static.leading2lean.com – Static assets such as images and scripts
Note: These domains may rely on third-party services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) for hosting and delivery. Direct access to those third-party domains is required to ensure proper operation of the platform.
Proxy Server Configuration
Proxy servers can sometimes interfere with access to dynamic, cloud-hosted services like L2L. For the most stable experience, we recommend configuring your proxy to bypass inspection or filtering for the L2L domains listed above.
Without proper configuration, users behind corporate proxies may encounter intermittent HTTP 502 or "Bad Gateway" errors. Ensuring direct access to L2L domains without modification or interference from the proxy server is critical for uninterrupted service.
Network Ports
L2L services operate exclusively over:
- TCP Port 443 – For secure HTTPS connections, using TLS 1.2/1.3
This applies to browser access, integration scripts, and mobile applications.
Summary
To ensure consistent connectivity and performance with Leading2Lean services:
- Allow outbound HTTPS traffic (TCP 443) to the specific L2L domains listed.
- Avoid using static IP address configurations, as our infrastructure uses dynamic IPs.
- Configure your proxy server to bypass filtering for these domains when possible.
Using domain-based rules ensures your access remains uninterrupted even as our infrastructure scales and adapts dynamically. For any additional help, please reach out to our support team.
