What is a Registry or Registry Key Error?
When your facility integrates any kinds of software, and who doesn't anymore, you may run into this or a similar error message: Registry Error or Registry Key Error
In the most basic terms, a Registry Error is a Windows Operating System error. What that means for our customers is that L2L is not the source of this error message and no errors are being generated from your server that are visible to us.
This error is almost certainly the product of failure to successfully complete a communication between the 3rd party software and your corporate network. This is not the result of anything done wrong on the shop floor or by your IT folks. It just happens sometimes.
So, what can be done to resolve this?
Generally speaking, our recommendation is to suggest that your Network or Server Administrator restart (or reboot) your server.
Some additional research on the Internet will return the following suggestions as well. Feel free to share with your Network Administrator and/or IT Department. But please don't try this at home.
- Use the Disk Cleanup Tool
- Try the Automatic Repair Tool
- Run an SFC Scan
- Try a DISM Scan
- Refer to an OLD Registry Backup
- Check for Malware
- Consider a System Restore / Reset your PC
