Technologies are used to tag machines base on technology or type of equipment (Crimp, Weld, etc). This can be used to pull reports and compare data based on defined technology groups
- Go to the ‘Setup’ menu and click ‘Technologies’.
- Click ‘Add New’ located in the upper right corner on the ‘Technologies’ bar.
- Enter ‘Technology Code’. Codes are locked once saved. They can be inactivated, but not deleted.
- Enter ‘Technology Description’. Choose a description that is common within the workplace and understood throughout.
- Select if inactive.
- Click ‘Save’.

Is there any way to use the Machine Technology as a Grouping to maintain Machine Spare Bill of Materials? It would allow us to more easily maintain Spares information.
Unless there is another way that I am missing.
Jason,
There is a setting in Spares/Settings that allows you to add a part to a Bill of Materials for an entire Technology. If a part is selected from the Request Spares function, the system prompts the resources to add it to the 'technology', which will then add the part to the BOM for all machines within the technology.
