Production Metrics - remember, if you measure it, it will improve. 

Production Metrics allow L2L users to track and display various measurables. Which metrics you use and display are controlled by enabling or disabling them individually in the Production Module under Settings > Production Statistics 

While everyone has visibility to enabled Production Statistics, only those users with Administrator Level access in the Production Module are able to modify which metrics are utilized and displayed. 

Earned Hours (E-Hrs)

(Actual * Planned Takt Time) / 3600

Labor Minutes Per Unit (LMPU)

(Operator Count * (Planned Production Minutes + Non Production Minutes))/Actual           

Labor Hours Per Unit (LHPU)

(Operator Count * (Planned Production Minutes + Non Production Minutes) / 60 ) / Actual Man Hours (Operator Count * Planned Production Minutes) / 60)

Man Hours

(Operator Count * Planned Production Minutes)/ 60

OA % (Operational Availability)

(Planned Production Minutes - Production Downtime Minutes - Planned Downtime Minutes) / Planned Production Minutes × 100

Planned downtime is subtracted only when the dispatch type is configured to exclude planned downtime from the availability metric.

OEE % (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

  • OA% = (Planned Production Minutes - Downtime Minutes) / Planned Production Minutes * 100
  • Quality% = Actual / (Actual + Scrap)
  • Performance per Part% = (Cycle Time / Run Rate)
  • Run Rate = (Planned Production Time - Downtime) / (Actual + Scrap)

Labor Efficiency (with Ideal Cycle Time) = Earned Minutes/ Available Minutes

Available Minutes = Planned Minutes - Planned Changeover Minutes

Earned Minutes = Actual Parts * Ideal Cycle Time / 60

Rejects %

Reject / (Actual + Reject) 

 

DPMU (Defects per Million Units)

Total # of Defects / Total # of Units produced (including scrap) x 1000000
