How do I enable GDPR compliance settings for user deactivation?
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Context
L2L provides two GDPR compliance settings that automatically remove personal data from user profiles when a user is deactivated:
Delete user image when deactivated – Automatically removes the user's profile image upon deactivation.
Delete user contact info when deactivated – Automatically removes the user's email address, phone number, and SMS information upon deactivation.
These settings help organizations meet GDPR obligations by ensuring that personal data is not retained for inactive users.
Answer
L2L Support can enable these GDPR settings directly within the Site Properties of each site.
Once enabled, the selected data will be automatically deleted whenever a user is deactivated on that site. Note that enabling these settings will also apply to users who are already inactive at the time the setting is turned on.
If you need these settings enabled across multiple sites, please contact L2L Support and specify which sites and servers should be updated.
