5.27.26 Assessor Role, Assessment Criteria per Skill Level, Skill-Based Matrix
Assessor Role
We've introduced a new Skill Assessor permission level, giving you more flexibility in managing skill evaluations without granting full admin access.
What Assessors can do:
- Create and manage Skills, Learning Activities, Skill Profiles, and Job Titles
- Be assigned to Skill Profiles to evaluate team members' skill levels
- Receive email notifications when users request skill assessments (with the option to opt out)
Assessment Criteria per Skill Level
Trainers can now define unique assessment criteria for each skill level, giving assessors and operators clearer, more relevant guidance during evaluations.
- Trainers can create and edit specific assessment criteria for each skill level directly within the skill settings.
- Assessors can view detailed, level-specific criteria in the assessment drawer when evaluating a worker.
- Operators can see the skill requirements for their role and, during self-assessment in SmartSkill, view the criteria that apply to their specific level.
Skill-Based Matrix
Trainers and assessors now have a dedicated Skill Overview tab in the Skills Matrix. This new view makes it easy to find and act on pending assessments in one place.
- A "Skill Overview" tab in the Levels & Gap Overview, showing all skills with pending assessments by default
- Filter by status, tag, and team — with filters and search persisting throughout your session
- Search skills by name with fast, server-side results
- Clear status indicators (Approved, Expiring, Gap) so you know what needs attention at a glance
