Assigning Mass Dispatches
We have anywhere from 100 - 150 dispatches that need to be assigned each weekend, to different techs. Has anyone come up with a quicker way to do a mass assign? Having to go into every dispatch to assign a tech is very time consuming. The resource calendar would be a useful tool if it worked correctly.

I cannot get the Resource Calendar to work at all. I can filter out Dispatches/WO's so that they will actually show up in the Calendar, but I can't seem to figure out why the "Drag n Drop" Scheduling won't work. It states Assignment & Schedule changes to confirmed but when I accept the box closes and no changes were made.

I can not make any sense of how to use the resource calendar. This may be on a different track, but I asked L2L if they can make resource groups in the case of having many people working on one dispatch. I wonder if they made that work, would it work in reverse by assigning many dispatches to one person?

As of today, Jira DSP-16086 was created for this. There is a bug in the the Resource Calendar preventing Scheduling/Assigning Resources.

Crystal, do you launch all those dispatches using the scheduler? If you do, you can assign each dispatch to the resource in the scheduler. This is down at the bottom of the schedule where the machine is.

I do. But all dispatches are assigned to different techs each day. No one gets the same dispatches every week. And I have all of my PMs on an automatic schedule so I do not manually launch they are launched automatically. The resource calendar would be real helpful when it comes to assigning dispatches. Especially since I have about 300 to assign each week.
