Feature Request: Upcoming Due Date Notifications
We're looking to mimic a feature from our prior system to give a notification several days prior to the due date of a dispatch. I attempted this through a notification with a negative time from the due date without success, and in talking to support it sounds like this is not how the notification system functions although the negative value was not restricted. Does anyone have a better way of proactively notifying when due dates are coming up or would this feature addition be useful to anyone else?

Shane -- If you have a set timeframe that any given dispatch type is allotted for a due date (ex, all dispatches get 14 days to complete), you can set a notification to go out to individuals/groups after a set amount of time after the dispatch was created. For example: dispatch created on the 1st, due date automatically set to the 15th; a notification can be set to sent in 10,080 minutes [7 days] from the creation time of the dispatch if the dispatch is still open.
Even if you have varying due dates, notifications can be set up using this method to send reminders every few days for however long out as you desire.
We have something like this set up for one of our dispatch types, and the notification goes out, but realistically it's only as good as the method of communication for said notification. If it's going out as an email, you run the risk of the email getting swallowed up by the many others emails any individual might receive. If it's going out as a text, my experience is that system is delayed severely, if it even works.
