Beta Customers Needed! Spares: Cycle Counting, Part Movement and Average Part Cost
We're nearly code complete on some really cool new stuff and we're looking for Beta customers to test and provide feedback! If you're interested in testing any of the below functionality prior to general availability, please submit a support ticket or reply to this post!
Spares Cycle Counting
The purpose of a spares cycle count functionality is to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory levels of spare parts. Instead of conducting a full physical inventory count, which can be time-consuming and disruptive, cycle counting involves regularly counting a portion of the inventory on a predetermined schedule. This helps to identify and rectify discrepancies between the actual inventory and the recorded inventory levels, reducing the likelihood of stockouts or overstock situations. By maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizations can improve operational efficiency, reduce carrying costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Part Movement
This functionality will allow for you to request a spare part from a 'sister' site right from the request spares page. It will create a Dispatch on the source site to notify their inventory manager to either approve or deny the request in the new part movement page.
Spares Average Cost
L2L has always used FIFO or first in first out spares cost, but now we've added the functionality to choose the Average Cost of the orders instead!
