Redundant machines

So to identify machines that perform that same function within a line or cell (redundant capacity). You will need to 'Add Machine Group' from the 'Input' menu. Associate that machine group to the line/cell. Then go to 'Machine' in the 'Input' menu. Search or select the machines you'd like to group together, select them and associate to the machine group you added. Thanks for the question and let me know if you have any further questions.

Bob, I tried this but the Machine group field doesn't show up on most reports as a selectable field. Any plans to add this?

    Hi Dave,

Currently we have no plans to add Machine Groups in reports. However Machine Groups are used to calculate Production Downtime and OA in the Dispatch Summary Report. Ex. if you have two machines on a production line that preform the same operation you can tie them together using machine groups. If one of those machines has downtime it only effects the Production downtime by 50%.

If you have any suggestions on where we could add machine groups to report(s) to help improve use of the system please share your idea(s).
