I will submit a ticket to fix the edit time function when creating a new dispatch. You are correct Theresa you can also edit the time when opening the dispatch and clicking change time.

Yes - when creating a dispatch, simply select or key-in the date/time you want in the date field at the far right, above the "Create Dispatch" button.
However, I just tried it and noticed that the difference in time between the time you select and the actual time is reflected under "response time" but not 'total time'. (I would think it should reflect under both - just as if the dispatch had been input at the post-dated time... Perhaps Bob can chime in on this.) Of course, if the resource that you assigned was not aware of the dispatch at the time you post-dated it to, this is unfairly showing a longer response time on their part than they actually had. So, use this feature cautiously.

Yes, before the last update, this feature worked well. Now it isn't working the way it did.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the input. You're correct changing the time should effect both submitted and response. However I'm unable to recreate the issue as you've described above. It seems to currently be disabled as Teresa has indicated. No matter what date/time I enter on create it changes the time to the current date and time(basically as if I didn't enter any date/time). I know there was an effort to remove this option for Resource users due to some reported abuse of technicians back dating events to look like they'd been on a job for longer than actual. I think we may have broken something here. I wondering if the best option wouldn't be to remove it from the create dispatch screen making it only available to dispatcher/admins via the Change Time options. Unfortunately this adds a couple steps to the process for dispatchers.

Bob - I would be fine with removing it. We hardly ever use it. And, when we do, we can edit the dispatch. Can you add the 'Reason' field in its place?
