Auto Generated Default Machine

In the line settings, there is a place to associate a default machine. The default machine is used when the system goes to generate a dispatch based on something that happened to a line.

For example, you can enter a new work order, and based on the category setting, you don't have to select a machine, however, the system has to have a machine associated with every dispatch created.

The same goes for auto-creating a dispatch for a changeover, for a "Needs Training" dispatch for notifications, and creating a dispatch based on an answer to a question in a checklist, just to name some examples. 

A default machine can be associated to the line in many ways: 

• Manually set the default machine in the line settings.
• When creating a new line, you can click on the checkbox to auto-generate a default machine and associate it to the new line. (see below image)

Note: If you choose to have the system auto-generate a default machine, it will create the new machine code and the description to match the line code and description.
