The Pitch Record can be found on the Operator Portal and is the user interface used by many people every day.
Clicking into the 'Pitch' will give you the ability to add pitch information manually. It also shows you who created the Pitch, as well as when it was last updated and by whom. In the basic view, you have the ability to add Actual, Scrap, select a Product, and an Operator Count.
As your site begins to use more functionality, you may start to see Scrap Categories. You may also start using Product Orders, which defaults the 'Product' in the Edit Pitch Details to the Product that is currently running, meaning you don't have to select it. Note: The 'Add Scrap' button will automatically save the scrap. If you don't make any other changes on this page, you can simply hit cancel. You can also use the + and - buttons to increment and decrement scrap of the same category.
**There are many methods of adding scrap within the Production Module. You can read about those methods by following this link.
Your site may also be using the API to automate actuals and/or scrap counts. In this case, you won't be able to edit the actual or scrap unless the Production Setting 'Allow operators to adjust the built quantity for an order when the actual data is supplied via the API' is enabled.
You can enter comments/countermeasures for the pitch from this modal. Oftentimes, a comment is required if the actual is less than the demand.
Lastly, the buttons on the bottom: 'Save' will prompt the pitch record to save. Note: If no actual is present, the system will prompt you to add one.
'Cancel' if you don't change anything in the screen or want to save the pitch.
'Inactivate' will change the pitch from Active = True to Active = False. This will remove the pitch from being included in Production metrics.
'Changeover' will end the current pitch where it is and changeover to the new product order.
