Work Order Templates are a convenient way to create a standard template for a Work Order Project that repeats from time to time. Avoid creating a new Work Order for each instance of the same thing by setting up a template for each variation. Having a template to start from saves time and allows you to focus on the custom portion of the Work Order. Simply select a template and create an instance of that Work Order.
Getting Started:
Select Work Order Templates from the Work Order Menu and click 'Add New'.
Enter in a Short Description.
Select a Category, Trade, and Cost Center (if applicable).
Choose from the list of Machines the Work Order will focus on.
Add any Documents the Tradesman will need while working on the Work Order.
Select all Machines that will be used to complete the Work Order.
Add Instructions for completion of the Work Order.
Creating a Work Order from a Template:
Select 'Work Order Templates' from the Work Order Menu and Click on the Template you want to use.
Scroll to the bottom of the Template and click 'Create Work Order from Template'.
Many of the fields will auto-populate with the information from the Template. Now, you can fill in the fields specific to this Work Order: Requested Completion Date, Requested By, Phone Number (if required) and an Owner if the Work Order needs to go through an Approval Process.
Now 'Save' the Work Order and add any Attachments.
