Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a measurement frequently used by countless manufacturing and production entities across a wide range of industries. OEE identifies the amount of manufacturing time that is truly productive. This metric is used to identify losses, benchmark progress, and improve the productivity of manufacturing equipment.
The Production OEE Pareto Report shows you how your Production OEE stacks up over a specified range of time. The OEE Pareto can be distilled by Area, Line, Shift, and Product.
Much like the OEE Trend Report, the OEE Pareto Report uses the accepted industry standard OEE Calculation. Scroll down to see the specifics of this calculation.
When exporting the report results, you will see individual metrics for the following:
- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- OA (Operational Availability)
- PPP % (Performance Per Part percentage)
- YIELD (Production Quality/Yield Percentage)
For example, an OEE score of 100% would mean only good parts are being manufactured, as quickly as possible, with absolutely zero downtime.
- 100% Quality (zero defects)
- 100% Performance
- 100% Availability of all equipment
OEE = OA% * Quality% * Performance per Part%
Quality% = Actual / (Actual + Scrap)
Performance Per Part% = (Cycle Time / Run Rate)
Run Rate = (Planned Production Time - Downtime) / (Actual + Scrap)
Pro-Tip: If your OEE Pareto Report results do not match exactly your OEE Trend Report results
The OEE Pareto Report uses the precision value from the OEE metric for all of the values displayed. Some customers have this metric set to ' .1 '.
The OEE Trend Report uses the precision value for each metric individually and as specified by the customer in the Production Settings. The default value for precision is whole numbers only, which is what the OA calculation uses. That is why there is sometimes a difference in the reported results.
