Pro Tip - Spares Import - Multiple Bin Locations Qty

Many sites have multiple Spare Parts Bin Locations. Leading2Lean spares can track parts quantity in multiple bins or KanBan locations. Some Parts can have multiple locations with varying quantities by bin location.

Leading2Lean Spares module can track each bin location and quantity by bin location, also displaying a Total On Hand quantity.

When a part has multiple bin locations and varying quantities by location the Spares file Import feature can be used to update Total On Hand Qty in lieu of software integration.

When importing data for Spare Parts with multiple Bin Locations, you'll want to map the left column 'Total on Hand Quantity' to the drop down 'Qty by Bin'. That will ensure that you have the correct total on hand quantity in Inventory Control.
