We are excited to announce how we have integrated our SwipeGuide Instructions within L2L. These instructions are now available to you in the Dispatch (Tech) Portal,Classic Dispatch, Operator Portal and Operator Console!
What does this mean? By integrating Digital Work Instructions into the L2L platform, you can:
- Improve frontline performance: Equip workers with the right information, right when they need it.
- Direct access to expert, visual knowledge: Say goodbye to endless searching through static documents. SwipeGuide delivers clear, visual instructions at your fingertips.
- Minimize downtime: Faster access to solutions means less time spent troubleshooting and more time being productive.
- Reduce Training time: Intuitive, visual guidance accelerates onboarding and reduces the reliance on lengthy manuals.
Authors can create an instruction in a public SwipeGuide workspace and make that available in L2L.
Technicians can view that instruction from the Dispatch Portal and Op Console areas inside an embedded lightbox without leaving their page. When viewing from Classic Dispatch or the Op Portal, this will open a separate tab.
You can link or attach this document instruction like any other document in L2L, such as by Area/Lines/Machines, Dispatches, Products etc.
Creating a Document with SwipeGuide Instruction Integration
Before you get started, there are a few things to note:
- There is a site setting that L2L will need to enable for the integration to work.
- You will need to be a Document Author in L2L and an Admin for Swipeguide.
Now that you have the correct permissions, you can get creating!
- First, you will want to create a document Category for documents you will be using for SwipeGuide (SwipeGuide has its own approval and sharing capabilities, more to come in the future)
- You will now create a new document under All Documents - Add New
3. Name your Document, give a description, and assign it to your Category. Now you will Save and Create Revision.
4. Now is where you will need to navigate into your SwipeGuide Platform to retrieve your URL to paste.
5. Note: You will need to make sure you have the Swipeguide instruction already created in your Swipeguide Platform. Navigate to your guide and open the instructions you would like to use. You will see the Icon in the right upper corner, you select that and choose Share
6. Once you click Share you will see the option to Copy URL.
7. Now that you have URL you will paste that URL into your Step #4 and Save.
You have now integrated your SwipeGuide Instruction into L2L!
