L2L's new Technician Portal puts the emphasis where it belongs - on the Technician. The folks who do the work.
L2L recently debuted our new Technician Portal. The Dispatch List screen has received a full UI upgrade. We've further improved on other recently introduced enhancements - pill boxes, avatars, column selectors, and expandable drawers (vertically stacked option lists that can expand or collapse to reveal more associated content). We know that any change requires adjustment, especially if something looks different than you're used to. You'll love the improved visibility and readability. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see what's still ahead!
Technician Portal - Dispatch View
Every Dispatch is previewed in its own card. You can scroll through the Cards and click through the pages. Click anywhere on the Dispatch preview Card to open an individual Dispatch for additional details. If you are logged in and have Resource rights for the site you're viewing, you can click the Dispatch Me button to begin working on the Dispatch.
Dispatches have been broken out into individual tabs: Details, Dispatch Questions, Spares, Documents, etc., and have been color coded by tab for clarity and quick visual awareness. Red = something is required to close the Dispatch; Gray = no details or info for that tab; Blue = 1) details have been added, or 2) a required task is complete.
Requesting spares is easier than ever! No more going to a new page. The Request Spare Part open a box. All the functionality is right there, at your fingertips, with the Dispatch still in view behind.
The Documents tab includes all documents associated with the Dispatch: attachments as well as Document links and Checklists. You immediately know if the Checklist is complete.
While you're getting used to the new look and feel, you can still go back to the classic Dispatch View by clicking on the Edit Dispatch link.
We realize this is not yet complete. You may have questions such as: How do I Complete or Close this Dispatch? Where do I put in my Actions and Components? etc. These items and many more are to be released in our next couple of phases, so continue to look for pop ups and emails from us for updates!
