Lineside Display

Overview
The Lineside Display is a dashboard designed for overhead monitors on the production floor. It lets leaders and supervisors monitor a line’s performance at a glance, from a distance, without needing to drill into detail. It is meant to complement the Operator Console — not replace it — by surfacing the most important shift metrics for floor-based decision making.
You can find the Lineside Display under Dashboards in the left menu. Use the filter at the top of the page to select the line you want to display.
Metrics
Line Running Status
By default, when there are no open down-impacting dispatches, the display shows “Line Running” along with the elapsed time since the last down dispatch was closed.
When an active down-impacting dispatch exists, the display instead shows the dispatch type code and how long it has been open. The color follows the dispatch type’s setup configuration.
Target
Matches the Target shown on the Operator Console. It is derived from pitch data and represents the theoretical parts that could be built across the full shift, using the LCT (Line Cycle Time) from the assigned order or table.
Target accounts for downtime — planned production time is reduced by downtime minutes before the theoretical count is calculated.
If there is no order assigned to the line and no cycle times set up, Target reads “0”.
Demand
The complete shift demand, using the LCT from the order or table.
Demand does NOT account for downtime — it reflects the parts the production schedule calls for, regardless of any downtime that occurred.
Actuals
Matches the Actuals on the Operator Console. It starts at 0 at the beginning of the shift and counts up as parts are produced.
Efficiency
Efficiency compares what the line has actually produced so far against what it was expected to produce by this point in the shift, expressed as a percentage.

Key points:
Actuals is the cumulative actual count for every pitch from the start of the shift through the current pitch.
The expected value (the denominator) is the sum of every completed pitch’s value, plus the current pitch’s value prorated by the percentage of the current pitch’s time window that has elapsed. For example, if the current pitch is 40% through its time window, only 40% of its value is counted.
Efficiency can be measured against either Demand or Target, depending on the display toggle. The formula is identical — substitute Target for Demand when the display is set to show Target. In both cases, the current pitch is prorated the same way.
Downtime handling depends on which value you measure against:
Against Demand, efficiency does not account for production time missed to downtime (Demand ignores downtime).
Against Target, downtime is accounted for, because Target already subtracts downtime minutes.
Inactive pitches are excluded from the calculation.
If the expected value is 0, Efficiency displays as 0.
Efficiency is color-coded (red / yellow / green) based on the line’s configured thresholds.
Shift Downtime
Cumulative downtime for the shift. It looks only at down-impacting dispatches.
